Ridden by Jason Taylor for Roy Chillemi, Puss Boots shared the lead with the favourite Casual before dropping that son of Husson (ARG) shortly after straightening.

The 2yo daughter of Jungle Cat (IRE) found the line strongly in defeating Casual by one and a quarter length, with Top Echelon gelding Mishani Eagle a half-length back in third.

A $13,000 purchase for Group 1 Pty Ltd from the Bahrinna Thoroughbred draft at the 2022 Magic Millions Gold Coast March Yearling Sale, Puss Boots is the only foal to race from the winning Jet Spur mare Minkus.

A colt by Encryption from Minkus failed to make his $20,000 reserve at the 2023 Magic Millions Gold Coast March Yearling Sale.

A hugely talented son of Iffraaj (GB), Jungle Cat (IRE) improved with age.

His best season came as a 6yo when winning the Group 1 Al Quoz Sprint (1200m) and the Group 1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (1400m) and closed out his career when dead-heating with Pierata when third behind Santa Ana Lane and In Her Time in the VRC Sprint Classic (1200m).

Jungle Cat (IRE) stands at Telemon Thoroughbreds. His fee was $11,000 in 2022.
